HELP ACS TO ACHIEVE MORE
WHO ARE WE The Association of Cambridge Studies (ACS) is an academic society registered at the University of Cambridge. Founded in 2005 by a group of Chinese Visiting Scholars and Cambridge PhD students, ACS aims to enhance academic communications between the intellectual resources in China and the University of Cambridge as well as other higher education institutions in the UK. WHAT WE DO ACS has already set up several platforms for achieving its main purpose, including the Journal of Cambridge Studies (JCS), “Cambridge China Research Seminar Series”. Journal of Cambridge Studies (ISSN: 1747-5384) is a formal quarterly registered and published in UK. It features topic-oriented, interdisciplinary dialogue, and combination of theory and practice. Main topics in the upcoming issues include “Darwin and Evolution”, “In Retrospection of C. P. Snow’s the Two Cultures”, “University Responsibility”, “Experiences Drawn from the University of Cambridge”, and “Identity: the Modern Constitution of the Nation-state”. China Research Seminar Series (CRSS) specifically focuses on China-related issues. It brings together Chinese Visiting Scholars currently conducting research at Cambridge with Cambridge based non-Chinese scholars through forms of dialogue and round table discussion. HOW CAN YOU CONTRIBUTE ACS plays a vibrant, fruitful and beneficial role in the advancement of mutual understandings and dialogues among scholars from different nationalities and subjects. As a non-profit organisation, ACS relies on supports from diverse sources. We accept one-off sponsorship for specific ACS events or a long-term partnership from organisations, companies and individuals. ACS’s well-established role will contribute to your development.
