About Cambridge Journal of China Studies Cambridge Journal of China Studies (CJCS) is a quarterly academic publication with a focus on social sciences relating to China (ISSN: 2054-3719/ 2054-3727). It is currently published by the Association of Cambridge Studies, a scholarly society for China Studies at the University of Cambridge. Established in 2006 with a sole focus on educational research, CJCS has experienced fast developments during the past few years with coverage of research topics rapidly extending to other fields such as economics, law, political research, sociology and cultural studies. The journal was previously titled 'Journal of Cambridge Studies (JCS,ISSN: 1747-5384)', and is retitled as 'Cambridge Journal of China Studies' from 2014 (Vol.9).
"Cambridge Journal of China Studies is a social sciences publication with a focus on China Studies that brings scholars from the East and West together."
Aims and scope The primary aim of CJCS is to promote the understanding of China through the dissemination of high-impact research in relevant social science subject areas. Both contemporary and historical perspectives are considered important to CJCS. CJCS always encourages interdisciplinary studies and promotes talks between scholars from different geographical areas. To that end, we have drawn on our extensive network of experts from both China and Cambridge to encourage exchange of ideas between the East and the West. Over the last few years, we have contributors from within Europe, China as well as US, and we are seeing more subscriptions from Universities and independent research institutions around the world. CJCS targets to deliver a rapid platform for communicating China related social sciences. Therefore we strive to keep the review period short - often within two months. We'd like to invite scholars from all relevant fields to contribute to this exciting journal. Please direct any query you may have to [email protected].

| After many centuries of divergence, China and the West are coming together very rapidly. They need to understand each other's history and culture in detail and to appreciate the greatness of their different civilisations. I know that this journal is already a valuable bridge between East and West and I wish it all success in continuing this very important task upon which the happiness of many millions depends. | ||||||||
